The Merak Indigo Set consists of the Kebaya Sofea paired with a Nusa Sarong Skirt. This is a signature Studio Gypsied pairing, that consists of clean lines, sharp shoulders and a fluid bottom silhouette. A contemporary classic. Featuring Merak in a beautiful new indigo colourway.

Ivanna is wearing the kebaya in size XL/XXL and sarong in One Size Plus. Her measurements are 38" bust, 39" waist and 42" hips. She is 177cm.


The Sawunggaling is a bird that is half peacock and half rooster. In classical batik, this mythical bird represents the qualities of each — beauty, prosperity, luck and resilience. Merak is a remarkably intricate piece, with every motif carefully painted by steady hands. This long process mean that each Merak piece takes approximately 8 days to craft, from drawing, waxing to colouring.

Hand wash on cold to retain its colours and beauty. Machine washable in a laundry bag at 30° max on a gentle cycle.
