Taman Sari, meaning beautiful garden is named after the ornate gardens on the grounds of the Javanese Sultanate. It is a place of rest and meditation, accompanied by flourishing flora and bodies of water. 

From the archetypal pencil skirt to relaxed batwing blouses, Taman Sari has been more than just a batik story. The visual character of Taman Sari helped us define our vision for designing batik apparel—combining meaning with contemporary simplicity and functionality.
