First founded as a collective of artisans with expertise in batik dyes called malam, they have now branched into batik-making in recent years with a focus on crafting batik on OEKO-TEX® certified organic materials. The result is high quality batik made in excellent working conditions which are aligned with our brand values.
Kebon Indah is an all-women cooperative focusing on the art of hand drawn batik using natural dyes. While the cooperative is newly established, the artisans have years of experience behind them, having come from generations of batik makers.
Family owned and run, these batik makers have supported our brand's small batch production needs since before the pandemic.
Since 2019, we have partnered with a small team of tailors in Bandung to produce high quality batik apparel. Experts in their field, the nature of this partnership has helped shape our studio's vision for silhouettes rooted in Nusantara origin.
They currently produces 50% of our production needs, including pre-orders.
Liberty Society is a community center and ethical production house in Indonesia that empowers marginalised men & women, most of whom are refugees. Through their training to employment model, workers are supported through personal and professional upskilling.
