Our crossbody bag takes inspiration from the classic messenger, promising practicality and versatility with its generous space. The sleek curves lend a sophisticated touch — making it a stylish companion for easy days and errands. Wear it on the shoulder or sling it crossbody.

On first look, the Pujangga bags are modest and understated. The batik, dyed in varying shades of olive green, is a strong indication of qualities the artisans wish to imbue in it — of humility and adaptability. Complementary motifs of vines and butterflies are a common theme of harmony and unity.

This is the beauty of hand drawn batik, in which a message reveals itself in its process, motifs and colours. Gold stitch contrast on fine grain olive leather bring out the best in this batik, highlighting its impeccable dye work.

  • This hand drawn batik is the work of women artisans in Central Java. Known for their impressive natural dye work, Kebon has been our batik partner since 2015. Olive and gold hues are a trade secret of these artisans.

    - Batik is 100% cotton, set on soft sponge interfacing
    - Genuine calf leather in olive green
    - Gold plated hardware

  • Each bag comes packaged in our dust bag.

    - Magnetic closure
    - Measures 9" length, 12" height, 4" depth
    - One back pocket and one inner pocket
    - Adjustable strap

Slight differences in pattern placement are expected as textile is handmade. However this is what makes each piece unique.
