  • We are big fans of smart casual looks and these long line vests are up to par. This chic outer incorporates our signature approach to design — simple, clean cuts that are versatile, highlighting the story of the batik and its wearer. Darts on the back give the vest a more fitted look, suitable for office and casual wear. Bonus detail: pockets!

The sweetness of our character is born from our actions. | Se. mer. bak |, meaning fragrance is the symbolism behind the kanthil (magnolia) flower in batik. The motif brings with it hope that the wearer will be remembered for her character and convictions. Such metaphors are central to the Javanese way of life, that we believe are also a modern guide to a life well-lived.

  • Malam dingin (cold wax) is a contemporary technique that uses the hand screen method with cold wax to outline motifs, creating a 3D effect on the cloth. Cold wax is a blend of natural ingredients, including tamarind. Hand wash on cold to retain its colours and beauty. Made by a family of artisans in Solo, Central Java.
