Batik Drawstring Culottes | Lestari
- Textile & Composition
In stock and ready to ship.Meet our first culottes, an easy pair of wide legged pants cut from hand stamped batik on fine cotton. Taking our cue from the concept of #30wears in sustainable fashion, we designed a smart pair that is versatile and evolves with your needs. A side zip lets you pull them on easily, while the drawstring feature gives you flexibility to tighten or loosen the waistband as needed. Sits high-waisted.As this is cut from cotton, it has little stretch. We have designed this to be generous around the hips. Currently stocked in sizes Small (UK8), Medium/Large (UK10-12) and X-Large (UK14-16) and 3XL (UK16-18).
The Lestari series features yam leaf motifs interspersed with patterns of nature on a versatile black base. It is a symbol of sustenance and independence — the yam being a versatile plant of the region, that can be used for food and medicinal properties from leaf to root.
