A stunning batik canvas on our most popular silhouette. The Circle Skirt is carefully designed to capture the full beauty of the Merak batik. This is a silhouette that tells a batik story. Features a back zip and hook closure with an elastic waist. Fully lined.

The Sawunggaling is a mythical bird that is half peacock and half rooster. In classical batik philosophy, it represents the qualities of each bird — beauty, prosperity, luck and resilience. Merak is a remarkably intricate piece, with every motif carefully painted by hand. Each Merak piece takes approximately 14 days to craft.

Silk screen batik with hand painted motifs on 100% mercerised cotton. Fully lined.

Hand wash on cold to retain its colours and beauty. Machine washable in a laundry bag at 30° max on a gentle cycle. Always turn garment inside out before washing.
